This incredible break-through in DI cartridge technology will reduce your costs to produce DI water by over 50%. The MaxCap DI cartridge will also remove ammonia that is left by water sources that contain chloramines.

In many applications, the MaxCap DI ™ can be used as a “roughing” cartridge when installed up-stream of a Mixed-Bed or Hi-Silica removal cartridge. For example, if the RO water entering the Max Cap DI ™ has 25 ppm TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), the original DI cartridge may process about 200 gallons of pure DI water. By placing a MaxCap DI ™ cartridge in front of the original cartridge 600 gallons of water will pass through both cartridges before the Max Cap DI ™ is exhausted. The original DI cartridge will be only one-third exhausted. A second Max Cap DI ™ will process another 600 gallons and the original cartridge will now be two-thirds exhausted. Only after a third MaxCap DI™ cartridge processes another 600 gallons will the original cartridge finally become fully exhausted.

  • This example illustrates that three MaxCap DI ™ cartridges plus the original mixed-bed cartridge will process 1800 gallons of pure DI water. It would have taken nine original mixed-bed cartridges to produce the same amount of pure DI water.

SpectraPure® SilicaBuster™ Mixed-Bed Multi-Layer Deionization Cartridges are fabricated with semiconductor grade resins for highest possible purity water. They are capable of producing 18 meg ohm-cm resistivity water. They are the first deionization cartridges designed to reduce silica, nitrates and phosphate levels in the low ppb range. These newly formulated cartridges far exceed the performance of previous cartridges, offering enhanced contaminant removal, longer life and higher purity.

Caution: The deionization cartridge life is greatly reduced when operated on low pH waters, or water with high CO2 (carbon dioxide) levels. The exact cartridge life will vary greatly with pH, carbon dioxide levels, and TDS etc. in your RO water or the feed water supplying the RO system. Aeration or de-gasification of RO product water is recommended for such waters for removal of carbon dioxide.

SpectraPure® Color-Indicating Anion Cartridges are a super capacity, strong-base anion resin cartridge, which removes anionic contaminants such as silica, carbonates, bicarbonates, carbon dioxide, and exchanges them for hydroxide ions resulting in a very high pH coming from this cartridge.

Ordinary mixed-bed DI resins and cartridges have difficulty in removing non-reactive colloidal silica and certain ionic species of phosphates. The SpectraPure® SilicaFree™Cartridge will remove these to undetectable levels. Use this cartridge ahead of mixed-bed (DI-MB-XX) or two-bed (DI-AR-CI-XX) layered cartridges , or after a strong acid cation (DI-SAC-CI-XX) cartridge in two-bed Deionizing Systems.

Strong Acid Cation Cartridge

SpectraPure® Strong Acid Cation Cartridge is designed to remove all heavy metals, such as lead, copper, zinc, iron cadmium, manganese, and exchanges them for hydrogen ions. This cartridge also remove other cationic impurities such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, ammonia, aluminum. The pH from this cartridge is very low. Use as the first cartridge in two-bed Deionizing Systems.

Semiconductor Grade Mixed-Bed Resin Cartridges

SpectraPure® Semiconductor Grade Mixed-Bed Resin Cartridges provide ultra-pure deionized water and are tested to 18 meg ohm purity. Use this cartridge after the SilicaFree™ Cartridge (DI-SF-CI-XX, or DI-SF-CC-XX) in the SpectraPlus 2000™ System, or as one of several mixed-bed cartridges in a row. The ion exchange resin in this cartridge is not dyed and needs resistivity or silica monitoring to determine when it is exhausted.

"NEW" MaxTemp DI™ Cartridge (High Temperature DI Resin Cartridge)

  • Designed especially for fuel cell, laser and plasma deposition cooling loops, and similar high temperature applications.
  • A resin solution for High-Temperature (70C) DI water applications.
  • Removes all ionized impurities.
  • Aluminized packaging eliminates resin degradation.

Until now, Mixed-Bed DI resins have been limited to 40C temperatures. Now, for the first time, we are offering the ultimate solution for High-Temperature (70C) water applications. There is no other Mixed-Bed DI resin cartridge available that match the purity, capacity or high-temperature ratings of this new cartridge.

High-Temperature DI water re-circulation systems have typically required the use of a heat exchanger due to the limitations of existing 40C DI resins. Using the MaxTemp DI™ resin cartridge, the heat exchanger may be eliminated. This offers many advantages when designing and engineering systems for fuel cell, laser and plasma deposition cooling loops, and similar high-temperature applications. The MaxTemp DI™ cartridge is offered in four standard configurations at this time. (Flow rate is up to 8 LPM). Additional cartridge design sizes may be available depending on the order quantity.
