SpectraPure® Granulated Activated Carbon Filters (GAC) are perfect for point of entry household water treatment and commercial/industrial use. GAC Filters remove chlorine, chloramines, organic compounds, pesticides and other chemical contaminants found in many water supplies today.

GAC Filters eliminate the possible harmful effects of bathing in water containing organic and chemical pollutants. The absorption of these pollutants through the skin or by breathing the vapors during showering are possibly more harmful than the effects of drinking untreated water. GAC Filters are also the most economical and effective means of protecting commercial and industrial size RO membranes from deterioration and fowling. SpectraPure® Carbon Filters come with automatic control valves for back washing the filtration media for greatly prolonging the life of the filter.

Note: GAC Filters, when used to supply water to an RO system, must be purchased with the micro-switch option that turns the power off to the RO system when the filter is back washing.
