SpectraPure® Color-Indicating Deionization Systems offer an economical alternative to non-dyed, semiconductor grade resin. The resin will color-change upon exhaustion to show the remaining capacity of the cartridge, and does not require resistivity monitoring equipment. Color-Indicating resin offers the only practical means of determining the exhaustion point of strong-base anion resin. For water supplies having chloramine or ammonia content, the SpectraPure® Two-Stage D-CI-AR2-10 System has much higher capacity and longer lasting cartridges.
For water supplies having large amounts of silica, phosphates, CO2, nitrates, or water sources with pH levels below 7, we recommend our D-CI-SIL-10 or D-CI-SIL-2-10. These systems will maximize the removal of contaminants and provide the longest cartridge life.
Note: Deionization cartridge life is greatly reduced when operated on low pH waters or water with high CO2 (carbon dioxide) levels. Aeration or de-gasification of RO product water is recommended for such waters for removal of carbon dioxide.
